Brad has recently signed up to go into the Marines under their Delayed Entry Program. So as of June 2000, he'll be gone. I can't believe he's old enough but it's a decision he thought long and hard about. I'm proud of him and his commitment to doing something he believes in.
Brad is in the ROTC program at his high school and has done very well. He got started in the 11th grade, unlike most of the kids who started in the 9th grade. He's already made officer and I am so proud of him.
This is Brad's rank; Chief Petty Officer
Here is a picture of Brad and some of his
buddies at the ROTC Blue & Gold Ball in January of 1999.
Brad is an extremely intelligent child, even if he doesn't prove it often enough. He is quick to want to help others and loves helping his grandparents with stuff they need to do around the house and yard. Of course, money always encourages him to help a little faster! *smile*
Brad is also gifted artistically. He can just look at something and sketch it out. He certainly didn't get that trait from his Dad or from me! I hope someday this gift serves him well.
Brad has a steady girlfriend, Nissy, who we all adore. see them here She's the sweetest thing and we're crazy about her parents and two sisters as well. They've been together about a year now which is a record for him. Brad is a good-looking little cuss and I'd love to say he got it from me; but alas, although he does favor his Mom quite a bit, he looks more and more like his father every day. (But he did get my brains!! haha)
Brad is on the 4-H shooting team and is really good. He's best with shotguns and 22's but is fairly good with muzzle-loader and his bow.
Brad likes country and rap music. What a combination, huh? *smile*
