I'm not a poet and don't pretend to be.
I just enjoy writing and it helps ease the pain sometime
to get things down on paper, or the computer screen
in this case. I've written poems since I was very young
but didn't even keep half of them. Now that I've got this
webpage, I'd like to keep them so they'll be close to me and
hopefully bring enjoyment to whomever is reading them as well.

Dark Pain
Pain that saps
your energy.
Pain that questions
your reality.
Pain that maims
your personality;
makes it hard
to behave happy.
Pain that eats
away your joys;
leaves you gasping,
afraid of noise.
Pain you know will lessen
but never ends.
Faith in my Lord
is where healing begins.
Pain will be gone
one day, I know.
My Lord will absorb it;
the pain will go.
Don't give up for
the day draws near.
Have faith He will
make the pain disappear.
Invisible Pain
Do you see me?
What do you see?
I hope you see laughter
and not tears.
Do you see light or dark?
I hope it's light.
The pain is dark
I try to hide it.
I pray God's light
will blot out the dark.
That is my prayer for
when you see me.
